Community Guidelines

Clear, useful renter experiences depend on people treating each other fairly and protecting privacy.

Prototype draft: These pages are written for the current preview. Before RentAndTell is public, have a qualified attorney review and tailor them to the live product, locations, verification process, and data practices.

Share first-hand experiences

Write about a rental you personally lived in or directly managed. Keep reviews specific, honest, and tied to your own experience.

Protect people’s privacy

Do not post full names, phone numbers, email addresses, lease documents, account details, unit numbers, faces, children, license plates, mail, or other identifying information.

Keep the conversation respectful

No threats, harassment, hate speech, doxxing, or personal attacks. Focus on what happened, when it happened, and how it was handled.

Photos should add context

Share photos of the home, building, condition, or repair issue—not people or private documents. Remove details that could identify a tenant or reveal sensitive information.

Owners can respond, not rewrite history

Owners and property managers may add a professional response after verification. They cannot edit, hide, or remove a renter review. Anyone can report content that breaks these guidelines.
